There you go. You spent so much time walking through your code, finding little bits here and there - to correct your XHTML so it validates nicely. However, with using the standard Youtube or Vimeo embed code you might get problems with validation.

For Youtube Videos there is a small generator in the links below. For Vimeo videos you'll find a short description. The first is more of a copy paste action for the quick video insert (shall you be lazy), the second just describes what to do to get XHTML valid source code from the original Vimeo code.

For Youtube (Generator): http://www.tools4noobs.com/online_tools/youtube_xhtml/
For Vimeo (Description): http://ken-blog.krugler.org/2008/06/14/converting-vimeo-embedded-html-to-xhtml/

Ouu-Yeah... what a psychodelic piece of video art is this. Semiconductor is making movies which reveal our physical world in flux. It is definitely worthwhile checking out their website (see article page), that's for sure. Enjoy the videos below.

"Meek FM is an interpretation of type as sound. Using new software and the M.E.E.K. typographic synthesizer, the musician/designer develops sounds and typographic visuals in parallel. Meek FM will be premiering as an interactive installation at the Typo2007. The Meek FM team will also perform live at the Festival event." description from http://meekfm.org

Fancy little box. I would love to play around with this thing for a while. Though, by lack of greater composing abilities, I guess my tries might rather sound ... cacophonous.

Mobile projecting

Seems like the mobile phone is really becoming a more and more integrated device. Ok, that's nothing new. They can already play music and what not... so it was just a matter of time till someone would finally fit a projector into the phone.

And it was 3M, yes the company of post-its, reflector stripes and glue and all that stuff, who finally brought a device to the market. And... now all mobile device enthusiasts cheer up... first products are to be expected in this year's spring.

But about the product itself: It has the size of an ear-plug, delivers VGA 640 x 480 pixels to a 40" area and will not consume much power since it uses LED technology. The engine uses 3M's homebrewn Liquid Crystal on Silicon imager in conjunction with proprietary optics technology.

Just think of what could all be possible. TV in top quality everywhere you go... yeah.. that sounds great. No honestly. You could have head-up navigation in virtually any car, use it for new kinds of games (would something like Quasar be possible?) or as screens for tiny but fully capable mobile work stations... but I guess TV might be the biggest driver (a pity).

Yes, I already hear you say, nice shade of colour and so on, but this is really something sweet. We talk about a large digital window glass in action. The first effect is already something fancy (vertically opening shades) but probably nothing to freak out upon. A subtle but elegant effect for your office's conference rooms for example.

The growing flowers effect is already something. Also check out the other cool home gadgets and ideas Philips comes up with by following the links below this article.
